In light of learning about Cision, I checked out what they thought would be trending in the PR world in 2014. Cision wrote an article agreeing with Stephen Waddington, digital and social media director for Ketchum Europe with what he thinks will be hot in PR this year. Both sources agree that:

1. There will continue to be a shift from traditional to new media. With new media comes constant exposure and Waddington believes that conversations with clients and their audiences won’t stop after work hours, but will be 24/7. (..daunting thought)

2. There is an increasing use of data from companies like Cision as PR professionals continue to seek meaning and insight based on data. 

3. The PR industry will prove it’s value through the Association of Measurement and Evaluation of Communication, which will set and measure objectives.  Image
